Sfera.fm: Aquaculture goes to the industrial level
On December 2, at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a joint working meeting of the Memorandum participants was held on the approval and discussion of the Roadmap measures aimed at implementing the Strategy for the development of the fishery sector of the Russian Federation until 2030.
The Russian fish farming industry faces a strategic task - to bring aquaculture enterprises to the industrial level. The measures necessary to create conditions for a new round of development of the industry were proposed by the participants of the Memorandum - Rosrybolovstvo, the National Association of Industrial Aquaculture Enterprises and AquaMaof.
Industry representatives noted that today the aquaculture sector in the Russian Federation is at the stage of enlarging production capacities, which is a global trend. In order to reach the strategic target of 617 thousand tons of products by 2030, subject to a decrease in the development rate of cage farms associated with restrictions and environmental factors, it is necessary to create large industrial fish factories with closed water supply units (RAS). The executive director of the Association, Vladimir Mazanov, believes that the potential of this sector can be estimated at 100 thousand tons.
